GoGetYourGoat
When I was very young I was always interested in electronics and computers and curious about how they worked. Quite often I would take something apart such as an appliance, stereo or video tape recorder just to see how it worked, and what was in there. My mom would say "he's always taking something apart, he just doesn't always put it back together." There was never a shortage of things to investigate, I was never a bored kid.
I built my first computer when I was 12, a Sinclair ZX81 kit and spent many days entering pages and pages of basic programs from computer magazines, learning programming through trial and (syntax error). All of this reinforced the interest in hardware and software plus generated a little early OCD in perfecting the logic flow and structure of programs.
GoGetYourGoat is a silly name intended to trigger an intentional change, "Get of your butt” and do something fun and creative. We should have creative outlets and focus on something you are passionate about, (Goats or otherwise)

This evolved into further studying electricity, electronics and computers. In high school, I had an incredible teacher (Mr. Chadwick) who taught us far more than the standard electronics curriculum not the least of which was to clean up before and after using the lab. In college the labs & tools, workbenches, PLC's and robots ... it was a real playground. Later this all turned into a long career in automation and technology. It's never left me, and still never bored.
